I. Purpose

The University of South Alabama (USA) Community Values and Code of Conduct supports our Mission Statement, “The University of South Alabama, with a global reach and special focus on the Gulf Coast, strives to make a difference in the lives of those it serves through promoting discovery, health, and learning.” We realize that to accomplish this mission, the University of South Alabama (USA) must aspire to uphold the highest ethical standards in its students, faculty, and staff.

The Community Values and Code of Conduct elaborates on the Core Values of the University (per USA's Strategic Plan) and provides an ethical framework, intended to guide the behavior of all those affiliated with the University. It points to detailed University Policies, rather than expanding on, superseding or conflicting with them.
