New Concentration: Applied Artificial Intelligence

Beginning Fall 2025, Information Systems students can complete a concentration in Applied AI. The concentration will consist of four courses:

  • Artificial Intelligence Basics
  • Survey of Machine Learning
  • Fundamentals of Deep Learning
  • Large Language Models

Careers in computing related to artificial intelligence are projected to be among the fastest-growing in the tech industry. The curriculum focuses on practical applications of AI to build systems that improve decision-making, personalize customer interactions, and enhance business agility. Their expertise will support departments such as sales, marketing, customer service, and operations, ultimately boosting profitability and giving organizations a competitive edge.
