Biography
In addition to her teaching duties at the University of South Alabama, hornist Jodi Graham Wood performs with the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra and has played with numerous orchestras, including the Mobile Symphony, Gulf Coast Symphony, Sioux City Symphony, Northwest Iowa Symphony, Bloomington Symphony, and Columbus Pro Musica. Prior to moving to Mobile, she served on the faculty at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. Her recorded chamber music playing can be heard on the MSR Classics label.
Wood earned the Master of Music degree in horn performance at Indiana University-Bloomington, where she studied with Michael Hatfield, and the Bachelor of Music degree in horn performance at The Ohio State University, where she studied with Charles Waddell. Wood also holds the Master of Computer Science degree from Indiana University, where she worked as a developer of computer software applications in music. She lives in Mobile with her husband, trumpeter Peter Wood, and their three children.
