                                 * Our secretary is typically on the phone for several minutes with each student gathering
information and scheduling appointments so sometimes she might not be able to pick
up immediately. Students should leave a message with their contact information when
prompted. Our secretary will call you back as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.

If you are interested in accessing the University Counseling and Wellness Center services
for the first time, you can discuss your concerns with one of our clinicians during

What To Expect During the Initial Consultation

We estimate that the initial consultation will take approximately 20-30 minutes. The
purpose of the initial consultation is to gain a thorough understanding of what brings
you to the counseling center, identify your goals, discuss options and develop a plan
which may include individual counseling, group counseling, a referral to campus or
                                    community resources or self-help resources.
